A client of mine who is a leading Housing Association has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Commercial Manager to join our Commercial Management Team based in their Basingstoke office. Despite all working from home right now, when we do start safely returning to the office, they are happy to explore flexible working options with you.
The role:
As a Commercial Manager you’ll lead a contract management team; enabling them to manage and deliver their portfolio effectively; providing value for money, and delivering efficiency savings whilst ensuring full regulatory, legislative and financial regulation compliance.
You’ll be accountable for the successful delivery of a suite of procurement projects based around our repairs and maintenance service contracts along with providing regular operational and financial reporting on all commercial activities carried out by the team.
What you’ll need:
* A strong background in Commercial Contract Management, ideally more than 5 years
* Knowledge and experience from within the property repairs/maintenance/contract sector
* Proven experience in tendering and delivering value for money through procurement and commercial contract management
* Ability to communicate and negotiate effectively both with internal stakeholders, and external contractors
* Evidence of leading and supporting a Contract Management Team
