One of the world’s largest manufacturers of building materials are looking to recruit a UK HSE Advisor to join their team. Offering a competitive salary with excellent benefits this client is looking for a dynamic Health & safety professional who has at least 5 years’ experience within heavy manufacturing, construction and quarry experience. The selected candidate will report into the Health & Safety Manager. You will have the responsibility of the Midlands region looking after sites between Horsham through to Canterbury therefore travel will be required.
As a HSE advisor you will proactively assist with the development, implementation, monitoring and review of all HSE strategies, policies and procedures to ensure anyone on the client’s premises is complying with Health & Safety laws and legislations.
The selected candidate will undertake audits & workplace/area inspections as directed by the Head of HSE to identify improvements. You will also carry out all accidents, incidents and significant occurrences along with near misses and report them accordingly. You will assist in the progression and delivery of all HSE training and toolbox talks on all health, safety and environmental matters.
NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum)
IOSH Environmental Management
Minimum of 5 years within a heavy manufacturing environment
Good understanding of PUWER
Good understand of LOTOTO- Energy Isolation
Good understanding of Working at Height
Good understanding of presentation & Facilitation skills
Accident Investigation Training & Understanding of Accident prevention techniques
Excellent MS office knowledge
Excellent organisation skills
Flexible & Adaptable- ability to travel around various regions and sites when required
Evidence of promoting a positive Health & Safety Culture & Performance
