Housing Options Officer
A client of mine in Poole is looking for a Housing Options Officer to join their team for a period of 12 months, candidates must have experience within the private rented sector, particularly around accommodation finding /procurement, working with landlords and letting agencies, with good negotiation skills and generally good at building rapport and working relationships with landlords/agents. They would be responsible for securing 24 units of accommodation during their 12mth employment. To work from home, however there will be a requirement to work locally on an as and when basis.
The client group that this accommodation would be for is ex-offenders, so the HOO would preferably have someone experience with this client group, if possible.

EXPERIENCE
* Significant experience of providing excellent customer service and specialist, professional advice to people with housing problems
* Experience of working for a range of different vulnerable clients (e.g. victims of domestic abuse, mental health, offenders, substance misuse, young people, learning or other disabilities)
* Experience of managing a caseload and developing housing options plans
* Experience of team working and multi-agency working
* Experience of assessing and determining a wide range of housing and social care, welfare and support needs and entitlements
* Experience of advising those in debt or with rent / mortgage arrears and signposting to appropriate services.

QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING
* Level 4 diploma or the equivalent experience
* CIH Level 4 Certificate in Housing or equivalent
Enhanced DBS required
