We are seeking a skilled Production Manager to oversee and manage daily operations in my clients joinery workshop. You will ensure that production teams work efficiently, meet project deadlines, and maintain high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Management:
- Manage workloads for the Bench Joinery and Machinist teams, ensuring efficient work allocation.
- Collaborate with the Finishing Manager to ensure smooth transitions between assembly and finishing stages.
- Prepare joinery projects, including full-size rod drawings, and manage manufacturing tasks.
- Workshop Oversight:
- Maintain the workshop’s cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for visitors and staff in the workshop.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead and develop your team, providing clear communication, support, and guidance.
- Conduct appraisals, set objectives, and support team members’ professional growth.
- Programming & Scheduling:
- Prepare task schedules and allocate jobs to maximize workshop output.
- Health & Safety:
- Promote and maintain high standards of safety, health, and environmental controls.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Transportation & Delivery:
- Coordinate with Site Managers for timely delivery of products and organize transportation.
- Quality Control:
- Ensure quality standards are met at every stage of production through inspections and final sign-offs.
Requirements:
- Experience in workshop management, particularly in joinery or related fields.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.
