Residential Architect

  • Permanent
  • Brighton and Hove, United Kingdom
  • £35,000 to £43,000 per annum

I am currently working with an award-winning architectural practice near Brighton on their requirement for an Architect with a strong Residential background to join their growing and expanding team.

With my client winning a large volume of Residential projects, their focus has been to grow and expand the office to help with the increase in workload throughout all RIBA Stages (1-7). Projects will include working with private developers and housing associations preparing feasibility drawings, masterplans and planning application packages.

Experience working with developers, house builders and contractors will be essential, with the suitable Architects being able to demonstrable experience in managing large residential projects from inception to achieving planning permission. Strong knowledge of planning standards and UK building regulations is a key requirement for this role.

Suitable applicants will be strong in design, as well as having a good knowledge of how buildings come together in the technical stages and onto site. Experience of working with developers and house builders to achieve planning permissions is desirable.

A strong background in the Residential and Housing market is essential, with the successful candidates being able to work within a specialist team and assist through proposals, detailed drawings, scheduling, reports and visualisations.

Software skills in Revit are essential and the suitable Architect will ideally have 1+ years experience working with this software in practice on a daily basis. Candidates who do not have Revit skills will still be considered, however it is advantageous if there is a basic understanding as training will be provided.

Salary is based upon experience and the influence that you can bring to the team.
