Senior / Principal Transport Planner – Leicester – Up to £45k

This highly regarded Multi-Disciplinary Consultancy is looking for an experienced Transport Planner to join their Leicester based office. With a strong presence in the Midlands, you will be joining a well-established Transport Planning team capable of delivering a broad range of Planning projects across both the Private and Public marketplace,

Our client is an award winning Global Multi-Disciplinary Consultancy based in Leicester providing a range of engineering and environmental services and solutions across a variety of sectors. With consistent growth over the past 12 months they are looking to reinforce their Transport Planning presence and this has created this exciting opportunity.

You will be joining an established team of talented professionals focusing on Transport Planning projects across the UK. The role would suit a motivated and professional Planner who has held a similar position at Senior to Principal level in the past and who is really pushing for than next challenge. A knowledge of the Midlands market would also be considered advantageous.

To be considered for the role you will need to demonstrate the following:

  • Degree or Masters in a relevant subject (e.g. transport planning, civil engineering, geography).
  • Professional Accreditation, such as MCIHT, TPA

With a broad range of projects every day will create a new challenge. In order to meet this, you will need to demonstrate the following experience gained working on UK based projects:

  • Experience of producing Transport Assessments and Travel Plans.
  • Experience of analysing, collating and interpreting data.
  • Knowledge of highway design principles relevant to site access design.
  • An ability to use AutoCAD and GIS software.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Experience of software packages such as TRICS, Junctions 9 and LinSIG.
  • Previous UK work experience.
  • An understanding of the UK planning process and how your work fits into that.
  • Some experience of developing and maintaining client relationships would be advantageous.
