A local authority in Central London and looking for a well experienced Soft Services Manager. As the Soft Service Manager for a local authority, you will assist the leadership and strategic partners to deliver a comprehensive program of soft FM services ranging from cleaning, security, mail room, hospitality, and room bookings which are to be delivered to and within the council property portfolio.

You will be responsible for ensure that each property has the required standards of service and will lead a team of supervisors and operatives in delivering service excellence and a welcoming customer focused service.

The role will require a comprehensive proven track record of service delivery in a similar role and also past experience at mobilising cleaning and Soft service contracts to private and public sector clients. There will be a small element of office based work however the majority of tasks will be undertaken on our customers sites which will include attending meetings, carrying out service inspections, planning deep cleaning and also putting in place cover for annual leave and sickness.

Qualifications and Experience
Extensive experience of Managing a multi discipline Soft FM Service team for multiple different types of properties with a minimum annual budget of £2m
IOSH Managing safely qualification and a recognised Soft FM related training package
Previous experience in public service contract mobilisations and that of a multi discipline team
Proven substantive continuing professional and personal development, building, and maintaining the requisite competence, knowledge, and skills necessary to perform the role
Comprehensive up-to-date knowledge of all legislation, standards, and best practice in Soft Services.
Proven experience of successfully working in a similar role within an FM environment
Proven track record of providing proportionate and practicable solutions to the organisation
Good interpersonal, verbal communication, written communication, and presentation skills.
Proven ability to engage with a range of diverse stakeholders and effectively transmit key messages, especially in a formal training context.
Demonstrable capacity to work well as part of a team and managing a professional team.
Demonstrable computer literacy, including e-mail, social media, internet, Microsoft Office, and helpdesk packages
Sufficiently physically fit to walk within and between Council’s facilities, to climb stairs and ladders, to access roof areas, heights, plant rooms, basements and tunnels as necessary, including the ability and dexterity to use portable ladders / scaffolding as required
