Achilles UVDB is a pre-qualification system especially for the Utilities industry. Achilles UVDB issues all suppliers with a standard pre-qualification questionnaire based on the type of services they offer, and the level of risk involved in these services. Having been successfully evaluated and validated STR has achieved fully registered and Achilles UVDB verified supplier status. This evidences to our clients that we have the appropriate processes, policies and procedures in place, removing the necessity for our client’s procurement and risk teams to carry out their own assessment processes.

The STR Group is accredited with the Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS), having demonstrated compliance with and sound management of current health and safety legislation. CHAS commits to setting health and safety benchmarks that drive industries forward and make the world of work a safer place.

CIRAS is a Confidential Incident Reporting and Analysis Service, offering a reporting channel for health, wellbeing or safety concerns. The STR Group is a member of CIRAS to support the confidential reporting of both instances and areas of concern primarily for the rail industry and the provision of trackside services. This enables us to contribute to delivering safer working environments.

Achieving and maintaining ISO 9001:2015 certification ensures that we can demonstrate our ability to consistently provide a service that meets customer and regulatory requirements, and that the Group has appropriate processes in place to enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system.

JobsAware (formerly SAFERjobs) is a non-profit social enterprise originally established with the aim of helping to prevent scams in the labour market. JobsAware supplies data on non-compliance to regulators, law enforcement and trade bodies, as well as working with the UK government on enforcement action against non-compliant organisations. It provides free online help and advice to anyone who thinks they might have been the victim of a job scam or unfair working practices. As a partner, STR Group is demonstrating its support in stamping out job scams and labour market abuses, whilst helping those who need it gain access to advice and assistance.
