Assistant Project Manager

A client of mine is looking for an Assistant Project Manager who has experience running mini projects (value of around £1-3 million) and someone who can run with projects independently. Your role will be to Assist Project Managers across the construction and delivery of a very high-profile infrastructure program. You will need to monitor the projects and ensure they are in line with the Programme Requirements Specification in accordance with CDM and Health & Safety Regulations.

You will be the main support for various projects, liaising with various stakeholders and business heads to ensure timescales are being met and the projects are being executed professionally. You will assist the Project Manager in delivery of the project requirements as specified in the Programme Requirements Specification in accordance with CDM regulations and manage certain parts of projects independently under the guidance of a Project Manager adhering to the project lifecycle requirements in terms of schedule and cost. The successful applicant will have to comply with management requirements and applying best construction and project management experience and assist in the formation and development of successful project teams.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Graduate or Equivalent HND, ideally in engineering or projects management
Ability to use MS Office and MS Project
Commercially orientated with proven initiative and ability to take responsibility or leading from the front
An understanding of project management techniques and knowledge of implementation in a commercial environment
Previous track record in a delivery side of professional services/construction/complex engineering projects
