As one of the largest architectural practices in the North West of the UK, my client in Manchester is a market leader who are consistently bidding for (and winning) some of the UK’s most desirable projects.
I am working closely with the practice on their requirement for an experienced and proactive BIM Coordinator to join their busy and award-winning team. The practice pride themselves in delivering client-focused architectural services across five main sectors: Retail, Offices, Industrial, Sport and Accommodation.
With the practice involved in a large volume of diverse and exciting projects from 500 sq.ft, master planning schemes, apartments, social housing, hospital accommodation, Industrial Buildings to headquarter office buildings of over 100,000sq.ft the suitable applicant will be experienced and knowledgeable within a variety of sectors and typologies.
Core responsibilities of the BIM Coordinator will span from initial project setup, maintaining project BIM models and associated project BIM support documents, performing BIM coordination exercises and training project team members.
The successful candidate will report directly to our BIM Manager, providing coordination services to a number of project teams throughout the office as well as assisting the BIM Manager with other BIM related tasks including:
- Creating and maintaining project specific BIM Execution Plans
- Creating a Federated Navisworks Model and generating Clash Reports
- Assist in creating Revit content on demand
- Assist in modelling of complex interfaces and elements
Working knowledge and strong proficiency in Revit is essential, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills. My client are keen users of Navisworks, Dynamo and Python (Coding) so skills within this are desirable but by no means essential.
