Calibration & Instrumentation SME – Stevenage – £60,000 + Benefits – Permanent

My client is a leading provider of hard facilities services and is looking for an experienced Calibration & Instrumentation Technician to be the Technical Authority for all Calibration and Instrumentation (C&I) systems across a prestigious hard facilities contract, supporting the delivery of the highest levels of technical service, compliance and support.

With proven experience in working with electronic and/or mechanical Calibration & Instrumentation you will provide technical guidance, leadership, advice and direction to the C&I Teams, the customer and third-party suppliers, as appropriate. Furthermore, you will analyse the output of testing and inspection data: adjust and optimise maintenance routines based on historical trends, best practice and industry guidelines. Review complex C&I systems to understand faults and performance limitations and make recommendations to address short-falls and deliver improvements.

As the Subject Matter Expert for Calibration & Instrumentation you will provide expertise through deviation investigation, participation with Root Cause Analysis activities and the setting and delivery of Corrective & Preventative Actions. Also, where possible introducing new ways of working to the site operations teams.

With strong leadership skills you will be able to demonstrate empathy with customers and clients, work to tight timescales and possess the technical ability to analyse complex data and make evidence-based recommendations, propose realistic and achievable plans, secure buy-in from stakeholders, and deliver on target.
