I have a fantastic opportunity for a Contracts Manager to join a client’s Commercial Management Team until March 2019, within the Social Housing and Property Maintenance company.
As a Contracts Manager you will provide operational contract performance management for a portfolio of allocated contracts and projects by appropriately monitoring progress and performance to agreed service quality and budget.
You’ll provide advice when new contracts are procured to ensure contracts are fit for purpose and carry out site inspections to determine scope of works to develop project briefs. Strong communication, negotiating and problem-solving skills are therefore essential.
We are looking for someone who has experience in contract management; proven experience in a similar client-based role would therefore be ideal.
You will be responsible for providing operational contract performance management for a portfolio of allocated contracts within housing and property maintenance. You will be the lead in the operational delivery and monitoring of contracts and supplier performance, including – Managing performance of SLA’s and against KPI’s and ensuring all other contractual obligations are fulfilled. The selected candidate will also be responsible for managing customer experience, including handling any comments or complaints.
Support the Senior Contract Manager in the development and implementation of the Property Services Procurement Strategy
Provide advice to when new contracts are procured to ensure contracts are fit for purpose and handed over for management
Develop Project briefs, carry out site inspections, determine the scope of works required, prepare estimates, alternative proposals, drawings, specifications, schedules and tender documentation.
Prepare and submit applications for Planning Consent and Building Regulations
Approval and where competent to do so act as the appropriate CDM role as required under the current Construction (Design & Management) Regulations
Under the direction of the Senior Contract Manager, commercially manage all supply chain and contractor performance within their contract portfolio.
Implementing sustainable solutions through the contracts they manage that generates cost savings and efficiency improvements.
Develop and manage a portfolio of contracts and tenders that reflect customer needs and organisation annual maintenance plan ensuring full regulatory, legislation, Health & Safety and financial regulation compliance.
Responsible for all aspects of the commercial management in the contracts within their portfolio, including in assisting in the procurement of contracts.
Delivery of efficiency savings by adopting a supplier performance management approach and working closely with the regional teams to control and manage expenditure
Deliver objectives set by the senior contract manager Ensure Value for Money through effective performance management of the associations contractors
