Contracts Manager

Commercial Fit Out



The Contracts Manager is required to manage multiple Commercial fit out contracts, with the assistance of a Site Manager, to ensure the contract is delivered on program and on budget. The success They will be responsible for liaising with the client and design team to ensure the contract is delivered to the satisfaction of all parties.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Overseeing, planning and delivering multiple projects
  • Ensuring projects are well managed and highly coordinated
  • Ensuring all required Planning applications, Building Control applications etc. are processed in a timely manner
  • Ensuring all aspects of the build process are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest possible standards
  • Ensure all health and safety legislation is complied with at all times
  • Ensuring design specifications are being met during the construction process
  • Preparing schedules, giving detailed progress reports, and ensuring relevant information is recorded accurately
  • Ensuring all purchasing is done to the correct timeline
  • Managing budgets, completing financial records, and maintaining margins on a project by project basis
  • Building strong relations and ensuring effective communication with clients, sub-contractors and colleagues
  • Managing sub-contractors to ensure the highest standard of workmanship at all times
  • Ensuring health and safety requirements are met onsite
  • Ensuring high levels of client satisfaction
  • Ensuring all site paperwork is kept complete and up to date
  • Provide technical support to site managers
  • Ensure training needs are identified and in conjunction with the H&S Manager arrange for personnel to attend regular statutory training

Skill requirements:

  • Good Project management
  • Good IT skills including Word, Excel and Project
  • Thorough knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
  • High attention to detail
  • Time management
  • Good communication at all levels
  • Problem solving
  • Work well under pressure
  • Knowledge of building contracts
  • Knowledge of building regulation
