Health & Safety Advisor
A client of ours in West Yorkshire is looking for a qualified Health & Safety Advisor to work for them on a contract basis for a period of 3 months.
As a Health & Safety Advisor you will provide a high quality, generalist professional Health and Safety Advisory service, taking responsibility for ensuring managers are aware of and follow the related policies and procedures, providing guidance and support/advice as required.
To continuously improve processes and practices to ensure a streamlined, efficient and effective Health and Safety service.
Liaise closely with the Health and Safety Partner on the operational Health and Safety delivery across the directorate covering the full range of Health and Safety functions e.g., fire safety, inspections, DSE assessments, health promotion, training on related topics etc

  • Take a pro-active approach to participating and delivering of your directorate’s objectives.
  • Demonstrate commitment to corporate processes and ensure that these are delivered at all times.
  • Be a visible and enthusiastic team member, encouraging partnership working across the organisation.

Work within a team environment to provide support, guidance and advise on all health and safety functional areas and work closely with managers across the organisation to support and advise them in managing health and safety issues competently, liaise with managers and employees on health and safety issues.
Skills & Qualifications

  • Educated to degree level or significant practical experience
  • Practical experience of successfully performing in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practice

* Knowledge of accident and incident reporting and RIDDOR regulations

  • Knowledge of health and safety systems
  • Knowledge of health and safety risk management

Please note this role falls inside IR35.
