Health & Safety Advisor

Job Profile:
One of the largest family owned construction groups in the UK are looking to recruit and Health & Safety Advisor to join their team. They have been involved in hundreds of major projects across London and the rest of the nation. As a Health & Safety Advisor you will provide help, advice, monitor discipline, training and accident & incident investigation, and report directly into a Health and Safety Manager. The selected candidate will update the Construction Phase Plans, and Fire and Emergency Plans on a regular basis. You will also assist the Project Manager to ensure that all roles identified in the plans, are filled by appropriately trained and competent people, and make the Project Manager aware if any non-compliant safety issues arise.

A typical day on site will be taking care of all resident safety issues by liaising with heads of business to organise and delivery training needs, do daily site inductions and review induction forms and site card. In addition, you will walk the entire site at least 2 times a day and report any non-compliant issues to the relevant supervisor so it can be dealt with accordingly. Weekly reports will be written listing all unsafe conditions and ensure actions are completed within specific time frames, you can help coordinate this with the project manager that you will meet with on a weekly basis.

Skills and Qualifications
NEBOSH Construction Minimum, NEBOSH Diploma desired of equivalent
CSCS Card (Desired)
SMSTS (Desired)
Excellent communication skills
3-5 years’ experience in high end residential construction and fit out
