We have a fantastic opportunity for a Health, Safety and Environment Standards Specialist to join a large housing associate / private landlord. They are looking for a subject matter expert to run the development, review and continuous improvement of Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E) standards, including policies and procedures, across the organisation.
As a successful Health, Safety and Environment Standards Specialist , you will have the following:
- NEBOSH Certificate / Diploma or equivalent
- Experience of implementing / managing HSE management systems
- Proven experience as a HSE Specialist
- Analytical with the ability to interpret detailed information and regulations.
- Excellent communication skills.
- You should be comfortable making decisions and working autonomously and be happy managing the management systems side of the role, ensuring everything is always kept up to date.
Key Responsibilities:
- Integrate, manage and improve Health & Safety practices.
- Assist the Manager to implement an integrated management system to meet the requirements
- Assist in general risk assessments and produce method statements. Participating in detailed incident investigations and root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with other departments and external partners to ensure compliance with regulations
- Leading the development, review and update health and safety standards documentation, including policies, procedures, guides etc, as owned by health and safety team
