Health, Safety & Training Consultant – Southampton – £30,000 – £40,000 – Car Allowance

I have a fantastic opportunity available for a Health, Safety & Training Consultant to join a successful consultancy in Southampton. Your role will be a mixture between site visits on construction sites, manufacturing sites, commercial premises, as well as being a Trainer for various health & safety courses. No 2 days will be the same with this position, you will get a great variation on all aspects of H&S.

To be successful in this position you must have at least 3-5 years’ experience within a similar role and be able to provide technical Health & Safety Advice to external clients. You will be auditing sites and use safety management systems, in addition to this you will need to explain to clients how the safety systems work. Furthermore, you will produce risk, COSHH and manual handling assessments, assist with SSIP accreditations and conduct safety inspections for a variety of clients. Other elements of the position include producing construction phase plans, fire assessments and conducting workshop audits.

Candidates that have training experience in Tutoring CITB Site Safety Plus Courses, Tutoring Asbestos Awareness, Manual Handling, Abrasive Wheels, Scaffold Inspection, Working at Height would be ideal.

Requirements

NEBOSH Construction Certificate (minimum)
High level of Health & Safety knowledge
Training experience (Training qualification desirable)
IT Literate
A flexible, dynamic person who is a good communicator
