Mechanical Contracts Manager


£55k + package

Stride Resourcing have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Contracts Manager to join a busy regional mechanical contractor on a permanent basis. You will be heavily involved with projects from tender stage, manage the mechanical packages throughout and have ownership from cradle to grave on a variety of different commercial projects including schools, high rise developments, offices, care homes and hospitals.

About the Company/Client/Projects:
The client is a regional contractor who are still very much family run from the top and whose scope of work is in Lincolnshire and the surrounding areas. Their projects are typically valued up to £5m across a variety of sectors and they will be much busier for the rest of year going into next year.

Key responsibilities:

  • Delivering a range of commercial projects ranging from £250k-£5m
  • Interaction with clients, stakeholders and designers to ensure a smooth running of each project
  • Site visits and reporting
  • Health & Safety legislations
  • Project management with responsibilities of budgets, specifications and materials
  • Maintain an up to date understanding of all stages of production
  • Strong leadership of sub-contractors and site workers

Qualifications & experience:

  • Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (desirable)
  • Proven experience of delivering mechanical projects up to £5m
  • Excellent knowledge of Mechanical services in a commercial environment
  • Problem solving abilities
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Strong commercial and technical understanding
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong knowledge of detailed plans and drawings
  • Full UK Driving Licence
