Stride (One of the STR Group of Companies) are currently looking to recruit for the following role on behalf of one of our clients:

Client: Large Housing Association

Job title: Project Manager (Fire Door Replacement Project)

Contract type: 18 month Fixed term contract

Proposed Start date: ASAP

Location: London, EC1M or Horsham, West Sussex, RH12 (Dependant on your location)

Pay rate: Circa £35,000 per annum

Hours per week: 35 per week – Monday to Friday – 09:00 – 17:00

Purpose of role:

To provide excellent project management and programming solutions to deliver the Fire Door Replacement Programme (Capital Works) ensuring the Group is a leader in customer excellence.

Areas of responsibility include:

  • Compiles work order packages and ensuring component information is as accurate as possible.
  • Reviews current levels and anticipating sinking fund requirements for future capital works.
  • Manages of Capital works projects ensuring that Group policies and procedure are followed.
  • Ensures that payments are in line with works delivered.
  • Manages project documentation and reports.
  • Compiles and reporting KPI’s scores in line with Capital works package
  • Develops good relationships with local teams and development departments
  • Ensures that budget management and financial planning are instigated at the start of all projects and monitored throughout in line with agreed costs. All potential budget issues are to be reported to the Capital works Leasehold Manager for resolution.

Essential Skills:

  • I have substantial experience of successful project management and delivering results
  • I have substantial building surveying experience
  • I have proven experience delivery works to leasehold and shared ownership properties
  • I have experience of issuing section 20 notices and responding to comments and observations raised
  • I have proven experience providing effective advice regarding building problems to customers and colleagues and achieving successful solutions

Other:

  • Possession of valid driving licence or the ability to effectively and efficiently visit company offices, customers and properties
  • Post holder will be required to work from other company locations (the cost of travel may be subject to tax)
  • Able to work flexibly to meet customer and business needs including evening working and weekends
  • Subject to relevant Disclosure and Barring checks as required
  • This role is Subject to relevant Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks
