Job Overview

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Project Risk Manager to join our established and growing Programme & Project Management (PPM) team. You will be part of a diverse, collaborative team responsible for the successful delivery of commissions across all our markets and clients, but primarily in infrastructure and publicly funded programmes and portfolios of work.

The post holder will be expected to carry out the following activities:
* Provide PRM advice to internal and external clients in a variety of market sectors at different lifecycle stages, including:
o Facilitating risk workshops and applying other risk identification techniques;
o Assessing risk (e.g. CAPEX, OPEX, schedule, revenue and reputation) qualitatively and semi-quantitatively;
o Quantifying CAPEX & schedule risk exposure using Monte Carlo simulation;
o Reporting and advising on risk exposure and risk response plans.
* Manage PRM commissions with minimal supervision from the PRM team leader
* Develop working relationships with client account managers and business leaders
* Identify and help realise marketing and sales opportunities, especially with existing clients
* Mentor junior risk consultants
* Continually review how we could improve our service offering by (a) reviewing how PRM is practised by others, (b) monitoring PRM developments in the marketplace, and (c) acting on lessons we learn when delivering our PRM service
* Work closely with internal project teams (especially project managers, technical discipline leaders, planners and quantity surveyors) to recommend and provide PRM support

Experience, Knowledge and Skills

* A bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject
* Risk management experience (preferably in transport infrastructure or energy market sectors)
* Monte Carlo simulation (of cost and schedule)
* Risk analysis software programs (esp. @RISK, PRA &/or Safran)
* Chairing risk workshops
* Good English verbal and written communication skills
* Strong planning / organisational skills
* Evidence of professional mentoring and/or coaching
* Ability to interact with senior grades, as well as within client and partner organisations
* Commercially aware
* Awareness of recently introduced/ developing risk management practice

* Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) experience
* Using Power Bi to help visualise risk-related data/ information
