Senior Technical Support Engineer (Infrastructure Specialist)

Based in Doncaster – Salary TBD on conversation

Main Purpose of the Role
A key position has arisen within one of our clients that will see the successful candidate taking over responsibility for a push within the infrastructure engineering sector. Both developing and leading activities for new products, services and projects for the business. This will on occasion include providing tender support as directed by the Head of Technical Support Services in line with the industries recognised standards. You will be utilised for specialist knowledge and support in Railway infrastructure equipment within P-way, OLE and Signalling for global and UK markets and clients.

Key responsibilities required;

  • Ensuring that products are complaint with health and safety standards for the industry and well as meet cost and delivery targets for UK and Overseas markets.
  • Provide innovative technical solutions that cover a wide range of client expectations.
  • Ensure all quality procedures are implemented and followed to ensure that all activities within the Engineering Function are fully compliant with the Quality Management System.
  • Previous experience and knowledge of a full scope of Rail and Infrastructure design and products.
  • Working in a safe and responsible manner that is in line with the standards implemented within the business and externally in the industry. Following rules and procedures as appropriate.

· Entrepreneurial and commercial thinking as well as being creative and innovative

Qualifications & Education

  • Degree in civil engineering or with equivalent infrastructure experiences
  • Current and valid PTS

Experience & Proven Ability in the following required;

  • Specialist background in rail infrastructure operations and associated rail products
  • Excellent communication skills and able to build relationships with providers and customers
  • Ability to work at various levels within the organisation
  • Management of internal and external stakeholders and associated products/projects
