Pay rate: Circa £25 per hour (Umbrella) unfortunately not able to offer Ltd due to IR35 regulations.
Own transport is required for this role and mileage expenses will be paid at 23p per mile

Purpose of the Job
The HHIA is an integrated service drawing expertise from across the sector aimed at improving the quality of life of our residents. The agency works closely with customers, partner organisations and other professionals to achieve shared goals and outcomes which go beyond its own service capabilities.
In this varied and challenging role, the Technical Officer role will work collaboratively with Occupational Therapists, Case Workers and colleagues across the Health and Adult Social Care sector to provide advice and supervise repair, improvement and adaptation work to our clients’ homes.
The technical officer will be required to design suitable schemes of adaptation in collaboration with the Occupational Therapists that meets the occupants’ needs, to draw up plans and schedules of works, including approving costs of work, and to engage and liaise with building contractors to carry out the works.
Another important aspect of this role will be to ensure the agencies performance requirements are met and performance criteria regularly achieved.
Main Areas of Responsibility
To visit clients and assess the building work required by reference to the adaptation recommendations, wishes of the client and the needs of the property.
To assist in the preparation of survey reports, schedules of work, specifications and drawings as appropriate, taking into account the Occupational Therapist’s assessment, client’s needs and wishes.
To undertake feasibility assessments, prepare preliminary costings and obtain official estimates for work, evaluate those and ensure proper contractual arrangements are made between the client and the builder.
