Pay rate: Circa £31 per hour (Umbrella) unfortunately not able to offer Ltd due to IR35 regulations.
Own transport is required for this role and mileage expenses will be paid at 23p per mile

Purpose of the Job
Within HHIA, the technical team leader role will be to oversee the work of the Technical Officers and support and advise the Occupational Therapists, Caseworkers and Trusted Assessors within the HIA whilst dealing with complex or sensitive technical elements of home adaptations.
Lead and effectively manage the Council’s Home Improvement Agency Technical Team and ensure the maintenance of high technical and professional standards through training and motivation of staff as well as day to day management of the contractor framework.
The Technical Team Leader will be responsible, with the Casework Team Leader, to allocate work to the technical staff, advise on and approve training and skills development required by the technical officers and trusted assessors as required, and undertake supervision and PDMS reviews, and assist in the hiring of new staff. They will be expected to carry a caseload of complex and sensitive adaptations work themselves, where a higher level of expertise or experience is required.
The Technical Team Leader will also be required to contribute to the development of new schemes and services, and will responsible for the monitoring and management of the Contractor Framework on a day to day basis.
The Technical Team Leader will be required to deputise for the Head of Service when required, and will through the scheme of delegation, be able to sign off grant applications and schemes of work up to a level agreed by the Board within the scheme of delegation.
Main Areas of Responsibility
To supervise and manage the Technical Officers and to offer support to the Trusted Assessors, including providing reports, analysis and recommendations for service improvement where appropriate.
To have awareness of the roles of other HHIA staff and to participate as a full member of the HHIA Management Team to ensure the satisfaction of clients with the service provided.
To approve non-complex schemes, costs and grant calculations up to a value agreed by the Board within the scheme of delegation.
To undertake complex or sensitive technical work in line with Technical Officer role, but for which a higher level of authority/experience is required
