Are you looking to embark on a career in the Property sector? Do you have a desire to work in the Lettings industry, carrying out property viewings, complete rentals, and market new properties?

My client, an incredibly well established company, are seeking a bright and talented Trainee Residential Lettings Negotiator, to come and join their vibrant team in Bognor Regis, West Sussex.

The role:

  • Greet visitors to office in a pleasant and courteous manner. Deal with and re-direct as appropriate.
  • Register applicant’s details and maintain applicant data base.
  • Organise and update electronic diary and diary drawer.
  • Collate Rightmove/Zoopla/e-mail/telephone enquiries and call applicants to discuss properties/arrange viewings
  • Carry out viewings
  • Responsibility for referencing applicants to include scanning paperwork and filing in the appropriate folder.
  • Dealing with reservations – checking ID and POA, contract letters and holding fees.
  • Right to Rent (R2R) Compliance checks – chasing Passports/ID
  • Assist with tenancy vacating procedures.
  • Ensure that internet sites such as PS&B, Rightmove and Zoopla are up to date.
  • Make up hanging files for new lettings properties and file accordingly.
  • Maintain window display and ensure up to date, correct and attractive at all times.
  • Provide general administration assistance to the department.
  • General admin including Archive filing, Current filing, and Photocopying.
  • Printing and collating: Lettings property lists; Lettings Landlords packs; Lettings Tenant packs; tenancy application forms; Landlord instruction forms.
  • Respond to all e-mail enquiries the same day
  • Accompany commercial and residential applicant viewings when required
  • Ensure that all keys are available for viewings and Move In’s and arrange cutting of keys where necessary.
  • Deal with meters and electricity keys/gas cards
  • Scanning for Lettings
  • Take Debit Card payments
  • Add new properties to ALTO
  • Test smoke alarms and CO alarms on day of move in

You will require:

  • Good communication skills
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Confidence to deal with people at all levels
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Accuracy in typing and attention to detail
  • Team player
  • Proactive and flexible approach to work

You will receive:

  • Salary between £16,000 and £21,000 dependant on experience.
